Meet Xa

14-year-old Xa and her family have been trapped in poverty and violence for generations. She lives in fear of her abusive father who beats her and her mother.

One day, Xa’s father forced Xa to drop out of school and start working in the fields to support the family.

Through the help of World Vision, Xa managed to convince her father to let her continue her studies.

Encouraged by her World Vision child sponsor, Xa hopes to transform her life and her family’s future. She wants to be a policewoman and protect other children in her community from violence.
