When this project started in 2008, children and their families were vulnerable due to poor sanitation and lack of access to safe and clean water. During the last 15 years the community has focused on overcoming these significant challenges as well as dealing with the repercussions of oil exploitation activities accelerating the pace of economic activity.
Thanks to your support, children in the Pende community have better awareness of nutritious local food to fight against malnutrition. They have improved access to clean water and quality education, and practise good hygiene.
This was an increase from 33 percent in 2014.
