World Vision is responding to the biggest hunger crisis in decades and we need your help

The hunger crisis has been compounded by COVID and the war in Ukraine – one of the world’s largest exporters of wheat, relied on by many countries struggling with food security. This year we aim to assist 15 million people – and we need your help more than ever. You can make a difference right now, by helping to prevent sickness and even death from extreme hunger.

Your action means bringing food to the children who need it most.

Sign our petition and call on the Australian Government to show global leadership.

We're inviting the Government to join World Vision's emergency response by providing a one-off, additional $150 million food aid package to avert famine and build resilience against hunger – particularly in the world’s conflict hotspots.

No child should have to wait endlessly for food.

When you sponsor a child (for as little as $48 a month) you provide lasting change to the communities who need it most. It means life-saving food, water and healthcare, but also empowering families to change their futures.

The fight against famine has begun

The 40 Hour Famine is now open for sign up. Take on a challenge of your choice – such as running 40 km or giving up coffee for 40 hours – and join the fight against child hunger. The official weekend is on 26-28 August but you can sign up now and start fundraising right away!
