What is it?
Buying a gift from the Smiles catalogue helps children, families and communities in need. Your unique gift like a goat, teacher training or child immunisation will give twice: a smile for your friend or family member, and as a smile somewhere else in the world.

How does it work?
The Smiles gift catalogue includes specific items and activities identified by poor communities as crucial to their wellbeing. When you purchase a gift, your contribution is delivered as part of an integrated development project.
Gifts are organised by category and price. The catalogue includes information on who each gift helps and how. Although we don’t put your gift purchase of a goat in a box and ship it overseas, we do use the money donated on your behalf to improve the agriculture of a community in need.
Whether you’re looking for a corporate gift with a difference, a birthday present for the person who has everything, or to set up a gift registry, you can do it with Smiles. With a range of gifts to choose from like, mosquito nets ($10), a waterworks package ($140), or training for Indigenous artists ($20) there is a gift to suit everybody.
How does it help?
Smiles helps by providing communities in need with the products and services they need most. If you buy an Alive and kicking package, for example, your contribution will help a family produce nutritious food and create valuable income generating opportunities.
Or if you buy a mosquito net or a toilet, you’ll be contributing to our work to help communities gain access to basic healthcare, water and sanitation. You’ll also find gifts that represent our education and training projects, our work with Indigenous communities, our emergency relief work, and our programs to protect children from exploitation and abuse.
Every product listed in our catalogue has information about the category it represents. Simply look for the Your Gift Supports tab on each gift.
