The 40 Hour Famine

Ever been hungry? Like, really hungry? While most Australians get enough to eat, almost a billion people around the world (including Australians) go hungry every day.

As one of Australia's biggest youth fundraising events, the 40 Hour Famine proves that our generation is willing to do something real to help stop hunger. Lend your time and raise money to help hungry communities and children.

Work experience

Understand what it’s like to work for a humanitarian organisation through a work experience placement with World Vision.

You can apply for work experience at our national office in East Burwood, Victoria. There are limited placements available each year, so you’ll need to apply at the beginning of your school year.

Tertiary internships

We recognise the value of recruiting new talent at university level. With fresh ideas and approaches, they are the future leaders in the fight against poverty.

World Vision Australia’s Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills gained from academic study to a planned and supervised work environment. Interns gain hands on experience in working for a large not for profit and learn new skills, their field while contributing to World Vision Australia’s work. Opportunities are now available in a range of areas within the organisation.
