When you sponsor a child, you’re supporting work that builds a better future for the entire community. That’s because nearly  60 years of experience has taught us that the best way to change a child’s life is to transform the world in which they live – their family, their community and the local area.

When a community is stable and productive its members can provide for children’s long-term wellbeing; the most effective way to improve children’s wellbeing is to strengthen their community.

The wellbeing of a child is dependent on their families and community and in order to thrive, children need to grow up in an environment that provides the essentials for today together with hope and opportunity for the future.

When you give to World Vision, you can be assured that your donation will be well spent to have the greatest possible impact on children and communities who need it most.

We are committed to ensuring that funds donated to us are used for the purposes for which they were raised.

The only exception to this occurs when circumstances beyond our control prevent us from utilising funds in the manner promised. Such circumstances may include instances where: geopolitical issues prevent the use of funds; staff security is jeopardised so that we are forced to withdraw from the project area; or the relevant community has asked us to leave.

The Annual Report records World Vision Australia’s activities and performance for the World Vision International Partnership financial year from 1 October to 30 September. It documents progress against organisational goals, highlights from our relief, development and advocacy initiatives, as well as our financial position and performance. Regular and transparent reporting on our activities, operations and performance, both in Australia and overseas, is an important way we demonstrate our accountability to others.
